By separating the edge and diaphragm, a diaphragm area equivalent to a driver unit with a tangential edge is achieved, even though it is 6 mm in diameter, the diaphragm area is equivalent to 9 mm, and the amount of amplitude is reduced. This also contributes to reducing distortion. Furthermore, since this special silicon edge and diaphragm are directly heat-pressed without using adhesives, it contributes to improved assembly accuracy and significant weight reduction, in other words, reduction of distortion.
